Scope of ASET17


The 17th Asian Symposium on Ecotechnology (ASET17) will be held in Kurobe, Japan at Unazuki from the 11th (Thursday) of November to the13th (Saturday), 2010 hosted by KOSEN- The Institute of National Colleges of Technology, Japan and co-hosted by Nagaoka and Toyohashi Universities of Technology.  Nagaoka, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui and Maizuru National Colleges of Technology stand as the principal organizers in collaboration with Kanazawa Technical College, Sendai, Kagawa and Kumamoto National Colleges of Technology.  
In Session 1 which is the Technical Session for oral and poster presentations, though emphasis is put on student presentations and students of nationwide Colleges of Technology and Universities of Technology are highly recommended to join, researchers and students from other universities worldwide are all welcome to participate in the Symposium.
This symposium will provide an oppertunity to focus on recent developments and to identify and discuss emerging areas of growth in ecotechnology.
Other than the Technical session, there will be enterprise exhibits of companies introducing their developments and activities abroad in Asian countries, a session introducing International Exchange Programs in the Collgeges of Technology as well as a session with lectures and panel discussions on the topic of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development).
The Committee for the symposium has discussed the concept of ecotechnology at the last 16 symposiums; concluding that "ecotechnology" is a novel and original concept arrived at by joining "E"+"Co"+"Technology" and is based on various elements.
